Becki choice 1: Cold Fever

Cold Fever is an Icelandic film which reveals the journey of a Japanese man to fulfill an ancient ritual for his dead parents. His interactions with the many people he meets on the way eventually convince him that there is something to the spiritual relm. His most concrete interaction with a spirit is the scene in which he is stuck in his car on his way up a mountain. He has almost given up when there is a loud wailing and a child like figure is outside his car. The wailing is coming from this, as is later found out, faerie. The faerie helps the Japanese man to escape his near death experience on the mountain. This intense interaction with the faerie causes great fear and anxiety in both the Japanese man and the audience.
