Becki Nature Experience
As I sat on the railing looking over the water of Burke Lake I began to wonder if your personal life interfered with your experience with nature. I had just ended a fight with my parents and everywhere I looked I saw tension. The walk around the lake was a long five and a half miles. The other families that I saw walking were overly joyful and seemed to be covering up tension or extremely tense and trying to work out issues silently. I realized how relaxing the fresh air and mix of shade from trees and sunlight with blue skies was. The trees seemed to plead for peace. The birds sang songs and my tensions seemed to melt away. As I walked away I realized that the open air let out all the boxed up tensions and I enjoyed the rest of the walk immensely.
