Chris Estes Student Choosing 4
This class has been a real eye opener for me. I like the fact that even though the class was called Wilderness as a Sacred Place that we really did focus on the things that aren't known. In a lot of other core classes it seems like we go over things that we were taught at a very young age. In this class everything was very new and exciting. The other thing that surprised me was how much footage and pictures that Dr. Redick as a teacher. It was really interesting to see how much energy and determination that someone had to go through to follow through with something like a big hike of the east coast. It got me interested in nature in general. Then as a class we went to the Noland Trail, and there was the first time I had an encounter with nature for one of the first times. After seeing the heart in the tree, it made me think maybe God is sending a sign to me that I should be out in nature more often than I have been. So I would like to say thank you for the class, thank you for my teacher who has shown me this gift of a class, and thank you for whatever reason I chose to take this class.
