Daniel Blakely Personal Experience 1

Walking through the campus I found myself paying more attention to the trees than I ever have in my life. The moon was so large in the sky, and every color seemed so vibrant. I have never noticed the autumn colors before, they were just a passing season that I did not even like. This fall at CNU I have become a much larger fan of the colors, of the leaves and especially of the temperature. It was chilly, not cold. It was sunny, but not blinding. The simple season was wonderful, for the first time in my life. I believe that the class allowed me to flow through the walk, even though I understood what I was doing, I was not realizing about how I felt until after the fact. When I sat down in my room, it just sort of hit me: that was fantastic. The experience I shared with the trees and moon was sacred for me, because it allowed me refuge from the hectic life that is the college experience.
