I have been thinking a lot lately about the differences in culture between the United States and Europe. This is because I am leaving in a month to Study Abroad in London. Everything that I have recieved from the University of London-emails, letters- seem to be so different from the way I am used to things being. I think about the transporation there. I will no longer jump in my car and go to WalMart like I do here. Their sophisticated tube system will allow me to go where I please inside the city and out without the city traffic. It is not an alternative transporation system, as the bus is here, it is the only transporation system. I am positive I will get lost more than once. I also think about the food I will be eating (or not eating). The culture there is so different and as much as I want to take to it, I feel I will be a fish out of water to begin with. Hopefully, eventually, I will feel at home in my new and exciting setting.
