Natalie Gilbert: Topic of Personal Choice

I had speculations about this class after first signing up and if it weren’t a requirement for graduating I probably wouldn’t have taken it. But I’m glad it was, because not only have I learned a lot from this class, but I have grown to appreciate my surroundings. I take an extra minute on my runs on the Noland Trail to observe and interact with the wilderness. Even though there was a lot of writing done in this class, I enjoyed the content it covered. There are certain topics that have and will be applicable for other classes I will be taking. Overall I enjoyed taking this class and I’d have to say my favorite part of it were the many informative but entertaining stories told by Professor Redick.
