1. Noland Trail Escape Daniel Sharp

The other day I ventured along the Noland Trail to the Lions Gate Bridge. It struck me that this wonderful trail runs through the highly populated area of Newport News. It is phenomenal that this escape from the regular suburban and industry of Newport News is so close to everything. The trail provided me with an escape from the average day on CNU’s campus. It provided me with an opportunity to go out into a more unconfined place and escape from the trivial pursuits of each day. The wildlife I witnessed out on the trail and at the James River while I was at Lions Gate Bridge all contributed to the voice of the place. The trek along the Noland Trail was an extremely enjoyable experience and allowed me to take a break from the average day of structure and community.
