Hundreds of thousands of people of sacred places throughout the world attract millions of people looking to find some type of spiritual encounter with nature or some other higher being. The Kaaba is one of the grandest sacred places in the world, and attracts millions of followers of Islamic faith each year. These followers believe that the Kaaba is the axis mundi, or center of the world, and pilgrimage from throughout the world once a year in order to pay their respects to Allah. They do this with the hope of having a connection with the higher being, and ridding themselves of all sin. In the end, the Kaaba is an immensely significant place to all followers of Islam, and is one of the grandest sacred places in the entire world.
