Christine Nowak Natural Visit #1
Walking the Noland Trail is something that I think every student at Christopher Newport should experience at some point. Although I did not join the class on their hike, I have gone multiple times separately with friends. Taking a break from stressful college life, and being able to take a peaceful walk is such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of being a college student. We go through so much during our weeks here that having quiet, peaceful, meditative time is extremely important. Nature really does come alive along this trail. My favorite part is when you cross over the small bridge where the body of water is. You go from being encompassed inside a blanket of trees, and suddenly in opens up to this amazing scenery. When you really take the time to look at everything around you on this trail you will be amazed at how many different things you come across that you may have never seen before.
