When I read the book Into the Wild , my first thought was how cool I thought the idea of being in the wilderness by myself would be. I have a cooky cousin that did almost the same thing, except we have family in Alaska so he was not quite alone. It is really brave to go on that sort of trip because of the lack of support offered by society. People in today's society do not appreciate the benefits of solitude. When I am alone I am able to channel my thoughts and organize a thinking pattern that is most beneficial to my situation.
