Douglas Pelenberg: Personal Choice, mystical traditions
Mystical traditions. I have always been eager about the study of different mystical traditions. Within many religions, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity, there is a point where one must attain discipline over themselves. There is also a point where they must cleanse their mind, practice morality, and at some point come into contact with the higher power. “Union with God signifies a rich family of experiences rather than a single experience. “Union” involves a falling away of the separation between a person and God, short of identity.” This path would not only encourage, but force followers to gain spiritual perfection through many different experiences. Then one could undergo the mystical experience.
