I personally felt that I learned a lot after watching the film Cold Fever in class. To me, it made the point that it doesn’t matter where you go to find spirituality, but what you do. This Japanese businessman wanted nothing to do with this trip to perform this ritual for his parents, but knew he had to do it. He came across many different people and places along his journey that changed his views on spirituality. He didn’t realize until the end of the movie just how much he had learned and experienced, and came to realize that he had found himself on this journey. It was as if God created this journey for him in order to be able to grow and find himself. Lane’s four axioms as well as his three approaches were perfectly incorporated into this movie, showing the reading the different stages he went through, and how he entered each one.
