CJ Fitchett: Outside Reading 2, Robert Frost

One of the most useful and entertaining ways of experiencing wilderness is through poetry. A poet I read in high school, and have continued to read is Robert Frost. His poetry is nearly always about wilderness and sacred experiences among it. A favorite poem of mine is, "The Road Not Taken." In this poem Frost describes how he came to a fork in the road along his travels. One road seemed to have been more traveled than the other. He took the less traveled road, and this made a great difference. My favorite lines of the poem are:

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
