Crystal Kernan #1 Landscapes of the Sacred
From reading Chapter 3 in Belden Lane’s book, I have learned a lot about Native American spirituality. This is where my interest began to further investigate Native American Indians spirituality towards specific places. I found that map coordinates are a keen interest to Native Americans which is why they feel certain sacred peaks have a source in their connection to the events of creation which occurred at their center, considering that place to be a sacred center. Another interesting thing about the Native Americans is that the telling of stories is a way for them to understand and pass on spiritual values. Native Americans have always sought to have a story worth telling and silence in the presence of mystery.
