Daniel Mejia Communitas in College

Have you guys ever thought about us, the students of Christopher Newport University as being in the liminal stage and also being in a egalitarian community also known as communitas? If you think about it a little, you can totally see it. The liminal stage is the in between stage that liminars go through in pilgrimage right or a journey. This is the in between stage from actually being on our own and preceding the stage of an independent adult. Now, liminal beings perform ritualistic activities in unison, these activities help liminars to bond with one another. This is the beginning of communitas. Also, we are all equal to one another, we are an egalitarian community of students. Everyone is equal until we graduate and become independent. Communitas and liminality here at CNU pretty cool right.
