Dwain Harrison- the paradox of being present to place

In this excerpt in Lane's book on page 29, Heidegger examines the use of the words though and it. This is an interesting concept whereas it is so prevalent in today's society. When people complain about where they live or anything like that, the problem does not rely in the place, because they have made it an "it" place. They are not dwelling in this place, instead they are focusing on the mundane attributes they feel the place possesses. They should focus more on the good things so they can turn it from an "it" place to a "thou" place.
