Elizabeth Robertson: Natural Setting-Noland Trail
Last year I got to go on the Noland Trail during the one snow storm that happened. I love the snow because it makes everything quiet and muffles any sound. Also, everything is so white and perfect. It is a love hate thing that I have with snow because it is so beautiful that I don't want to walk on it but at the same time I have to keep exploring. That day when I went on the trail, everything was perfectly quiet, and the only sound I could hear was the snow crunching under my feet. In my head I was in Narnia before the white witch was defeated. I found myself craving some Turkish Delight and I think I may have even seen Mr. Tumnus. Of course, the sounds of my friends' laughter snapped me back to reality, and I was once again back in Newport News Va. But I think I will go back to Narnia again before my time here is over.
