Nate Morris - Nolan Trail (1) [Natural Setting]
Here, on the Nolan Trail, we witness the sacred power that comes with this place of natural wonder and beauty. Certainly, it is able to fulfill several of the axioms laid out by the many purveyors of the definition of sacred place. First, and foremost, it truly is a place that draws the person in, choosing them, rather than them choosing it. Whether it be a runner seeking to escape the drudgery encountered in the smog and congestion found along the roadway, or a student trying to relieve stress and worry through a hike on the trail, it has certainly become a simple yet vital escape to all those living in the area. Not to mention, it is certainly a place that can be treaded upon without ever being entered. Day in and day out the trail is used but never embraced. For some, it is simply a means to an end, but for others, it is the end, the goal, the overarching achievement.
