Samson Girma- Ontological Approach

The ontological approach asserts that we don’t give holy places their meaning but instead, the places themselves are actually holy and that their power comes from within. This approach, however, doesn’t recognize that religion in culture overlap in aspects of the human experience. What I noticed though is there really aren’t any prominent religious places in America that are said to have powers and be holy, at least none that I’ve heard of. I’m sure there are places that Native Americans believe to be sacred but it seems that these are not prominent outside of the Native American community. I think it would be really cool if there was somewhere here in the states that people came from around the world to visit for its powers as a sacred place.
