Wicca: Katrina Thralls

I was interested to read “Wicca” by Vivianne Crowley, because I had already read “Paganism,” and of course Wicca is a small portion of Paganism. “The Wiccan universe is a holistic universe. All of creation is alive. People, animals, plants, trees, rocks, crystals, molecules, even atoms, have their own purposes and spiritual force.” If rocks are alive, if the very planet is alive, how does that change our actions? All wildernesses are spirituality. Everything having life means everything has the potential to die. Eating anything kills something. Walking along the path is walking on something alive. This connectedness is a little scary, because it makes us responsible in and connected to the lives of others, but overall the connectedness is something people search for and is one of the reasons people choose Wicca. From the cycles of the seasons and the festivals to the elements that influence the zodiac signs.
