Aaron Thompson-Ouside Reading

The book, The Call of the Wild by Jack London focuses on a sheepdog named Buck, stolen from a California ranch, sold to Klondike gold hunters and transported to the arctic. In this novel, Buck must listen to the call from the wild and learn the ways of his wolf ancestors who guide him from within in order to survive the extreme cold and ruthless masters. Buck's struggle to survive on the arctic trail demonstrates how place spoke to him and the precarious nature of life in the wild.
