12. Images Vs. Participating in Landscape Daniel Sharp

Sightseeing and photography are indeed powerful tools but do they ever have to possibility of being as effective as actually seeing something in person. I don’t think you could find anyone who would think that a picture could ever capture as much as an actual personal experience could. Sightseeing is a step above photography but it is still not the same as someone who had actually worked to see the sites. Someone who merely drove to the top of a mountain in a car would never have the same experience as someone who hiked to the top of it. While they may experience the sublime they do not have the personal experience to bring to the table. Because they did not actually participate in the landscape they will never truly appreciate the situation wholly.
