4. Liminal Lane Daniel Sharp
The liminal is an in between phase in which a person is undergoing a change. They are on the threshold of entering into something else. An example of being in the liminal in the most basic meaning of the word would to be in a doorway in between two rooms. Lane refers to the liminal in his book when It comes to people taking journeys. They leave behind their average lives to go on a journey which gives them a completely different way to look at everything. While they are on the journey they have different priorities and ideals. This period of liminality comes to an end when an individual ends their journey and rejoins regular community again.
