Aaron Thompson- Landscapes of Sacred 1

While reading Landscapes of the Sacred I did not understand the idea of "sacred place can be tred upon without being entered", one of the four axioms in Lane's Landscapes of the Sacred. I did not understand how someone could tred upon a place without entering it until Dr. Redick thoroughly explained it in class. Using his example of hiking the appalachian trail while others drive through the appalachian trial showed how sacred place could be tred upon without being entered.
