Crystal Kernan #11 Noland Trail Part 2

After class, I began to reflect on my visit to the Noland Trail and the interaction between the place and myself. Even though it was a short-lived, little journey along the trail, I admired every aspect down to the way the sunlight hit the colorful trees. I was able to relate to the Noland Trail as chora because it felt as if the place carried its own energy and power. I came to the realization that my experience would an unrepeatable moment in this time, which explains the term kairos. I felt as if the connection was initiated as much by the place as by myself. Nature participates in the experience humans have of it too. My favorite part of the trail was all the different smells of the greenery and the reflection of the trees in the calm river. My astrological sign is Pisces so I am known to be a water person and enjoy all aspects of the oceans and rivers. I am sure I will return to the Noland Trail during the warm summer months to enjoy its radiance again.
