Dwain Harrison - Mask of Holy

In our assigned reading, we read about the Mask of the Holy and explored Martin Luther's ideas on this issue. Martin Luther concluded that God always remained hidden and shows himself through things that are attainable for the human mind. He is saying that God's grandeur is much to awesome for our sinful, human eyes to endure. He makes a good point because in the Bible God instructs his followers not to look at Him. However, I do not think God's symbolism is only a mountain, I think it is all of creation. God's creation speaks of his supernatural ability. That's why I enjoyed the Noland trail so much, it honestly gave me a chance to really take in God's creation and the true beauty of nature. I really liked going on that adventure.
