Chris Yencha, Lane 3
Lane’s phenomenological approach and four axioms, specifically that sacred place is not chosen, it chooses, seems strange sometimes. Essentially suggesting that sacred space possesses a consciousness has been a hard idea for me to grasp since the beginning of the semester; however, the class has demonstrated to me the different ways that I may go about exploring this idea of Lane’s. Hopefully, one day I will not only be able to just understand the theory behind Lane’s approaches.
