Kyle Shipe: Music

Ever since I was little I was very involved with music. My parents forced me to take piano lessons from the 1st grade until high school and while I hated the lessons while I was taking them, I can truly look back and say I'm glad they made me stick with it. Music has the ability to completely transform how someone lives, looks at things, and feels. Simply turning on the radio and hearing a good song can brighten someone's day, or it could bring back a sad memory. Once I reached high school I decided I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. Since I had knew how to play the piano, as well as the trumpet guitar came fairly naturally to me. I instantly fell in love with the guitar and found myself playing hours every day. I still love playing, there isn't much else in life that helps me to relax more than just picking up an acoustic guitar and strumming a few notes. Overall music is a wonderful gift and I am so blessed to be able to participate with it the way I do.
